Do you long to put your life's craziest or most challenging moments on paper? Are you looking for a creative outlet? Join the Toronto-based Writing Your Life Story workshop! This online writing workshop will focus on helping you tell your life's story, whether it's about one profound day or the last decade. Your facilitator will teach you the fundamentals of storytelling, how to generate story ideas from your real life and how to structure your personal essay or memoir. This course combines video material, powerpoints, class notes and writing exercises for an engaging online experience.

About the Instructor 

Genelle Levy is a writer, reporter and editor based in Toronto who has published personal essays and memoir in multiple U.S. publications. She attained her Master's in Writing and Journalism from Syracuse University, and previously worked as an editor at award-winning creative nonfiction magazine Narratively, where she edited personal essays and memoirs. Her work has appeared in TeenVogue, Bustle, Electric Literature and many other places.
